Financial Fitness Club

The Quaboag Valley Community Development Corporation (QVCDC), is offering a FREE, 12-month matched savings program for low-to-moderate income residents of the Quaboag Region and Southern Worcester County. The program is called the Harrison and Diane Quirk Financial Fitness Club and is administered by the QVCDC.

What is the Harrison and Diane Quirk Financial Fitness Club?

The club is a financial capability building and matched savings program with support from the Massachusetts Division of Banks, The Health Foundation of Central Massachusetts, Baystate Health Better Together Grant, Town of Ware Community Development Authority, Cornerstone Bank, Country Bank, Monson Savings Bank, and North Brookfield Savings Bank. Its purpose is to assist low-to-moderate income residents who live in the Quaboag Region and Southern Worcester County.

 

How does the Harrison and Diane Quirk Financial Fitness Club work?

We help you to pick a savings goal and set up a savings account. Then for every dollar you save in the program, QVCDC will match your savings up to a capped amount. At every monthly meeting you will learn something new such as;

  • Reducing Debt

Am I eligible?

You must be earning income and motivated to save toward your goal! You must be willing to attend a class each month, usually by zoom.

What benefits will I get?

You will receive financial fitness instruction from an accredited financial counselor and financial fitness coach. Your savings will be matched up to a capped amount and you will meet other people who also will be learning about financial fitness and what it means to them.
